Royal Announcements

The Board of Directors of the Grand Ducal Council of San Francisco are sad to announce the passing of Grand Duke 25, Phillip Seddon - The Sterling Silver Spider, on January 28th, 2019. Phillip reigned with Grand Duchess 26, Kristy Cruise - The Full Plate Baby El-e-phant in the 26th Royal House of Food, Fun & Friendship.

Phillip was actively involved with Ducal Council for three years before running for and becoming the 25th Grand Duke of San Francisco in 1998. He continued to be actively involved with the organization for a couple of years after his step-down until relocating to Indianapolis.

You could frequently find Phillip at Marlena's Bar, either hanging out as a patron or working behind the bar. No matter which side of the bar he was on, you were almost always guaranteed to find him hanging with a group of friends playing dice.

R.I.P. Phillip

Friends are forever, you might lose them but you'll never forget them. ~ Unknown

The San Francisco Council of Grand Dukes and Grand Duchesses was originally founded 45 years ago to provide diverse areas of the San Francisco community with charitable and personal support. Through the years we have expanded our grants to other worthy groups of the community at large which may be overlooked by other fundraising organizations in the City. We do not receive support from government resources, but depend on donations from individuals and businesses. Thousands of people's lives have been materially and positively affected by the kindness and charity of the people who support us.
